Tune into Radio Heart April 17th from 4-6pm for a live set by Brooklyn musician Millions (David Suss). Using guitar, voice, keyboards/synthesizers, electronics, and effects, Suss weaves dense, hypnotic drones. He’s put out numerous releases on array of labels, such as Blackest Rainbow, Obsolete Units, Baked Tapes, Abandon Ship Records, Peasant Magik, Tape Drift and 2:00AM Tapes. His most recent releases include a CDr entitled “Into the Flood” on Blackest Rainbow and a c20 entitled “Pluto” on 2:00AM Tapes. For the show, Suss will debut a new ambient piece.

I’m doing a collaboration Tuesday March 22nd with C.Lavender at Union Pool. We’re sharing the bill with Goblin War Trio and Wally Shoup/ C. Spencer Yeh / Ben Hall. We play first, 9:30-10pm. It’s $7. The show was organized by Jeff Conklin for his Avant Ghetto Presents series.

On Land Festival Bootleg Show

Grouper at On Land Festival
Last Sunday on Radio Heart, I devoted an entire show to bootlegs from the On Land Festival in San Francisco. Organized by the drone/experimental record label Root Strata, the festival took place from September 2nd through 5th at Cafe du Nord and the Swedish American Hall. Over the course of the show, I broadcast live recordings of performances by Golden Retriever, White Rainbow, Oneohtrix Point Never, Ilyas Ahmed, Bill Orcutt, Charalambides, and Grouper.

I played a live set on my friends Jeff and Casey’s radio show Just Music last night. It was super fun, and I got to hear a bunch of new music. Jeff brought in the new Aluk Todolo album and Jacob Gorchov dropped by with some records too, like Congregacion’s Viene. I think the set turned out well! You can listen to the streaming archive here.
