Tune into Radio Heart Sunday March 14th from 4-6pm for a live performance and an interview with composer, vocalist and guzheng (Chinese zither) performer Wu Fei. She has developed a unique, contemporary sound for the guzheng, described as “slashing, skittering mastery” by the San Francisco Chronicle. Throughout her career, she has worked with a number of notable musicians, such as John Zorn, Fred Frith, Carla Kilhstedt, Béla Fleck, Pauline Oliveros, and Cecil Taylor, releasing albums on Forrest Hill and Tzadik Records. She has performed all over the world, including Beijing, Berlin, Rome, Venice, Milano, Dublin, Oslo, Rotterdam, New York and San Francisco, and during the show, Wu Fei has promised to share some recordings of these performances.
