A Million Keys

About

I am a writer, musician, DJ, and curator. I’m currently pursuing a PhD in Comparative Literature at NYU and I work as the Assistant Curator at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, CA. My research addresses contemporary internet-based art practice, digital technology and perception, the materiality of media, postmodernism and digital art preservation. From 2007-2011 I was Senior Editor of Rhizome, and I continue to contribute to the site. My writing has also appeared in ArtAsiaPacific, Artforum, The Wire, Performa Magazine, and various art catalogs. For a decade, I programmed the weekly radio show Radio Heart on KALX and East Village Radio, which focused primarily on experimental music. As an undergraduate, I majored in History and Sociology at UC Berkeley, and I spent a year studying Critical Theory in Paris, France at the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle, Paris III/Centre parisien d’études critiques.
